Grand Ave. Oakland, Ca. Grand Performance was created in 1984 in collaboration with Daniel Galvez and the assistance of Karen Sjoholm and Brooke Fancher. . The mural is a celebration of the multicultural legacy of the arts and artists in the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area. Featured artists include: Calvin Simmons , Ray Patlan, Fua Dia Congo, San Francisco Mime Troupe, Jack London, Julia Morgan, Salsa group Cambodian dancers, contempory weaver. From left to right the mural features aerial views over the city of Oakland. As one moves from left to right, we get higher into the air. From left to right the the skies shift from Day to nighttime to sunrise and back to daytime.
